    Lokyee (She/They) is a multidisciplinary communications strategist creating justice-driven communications, strategy, messaging, and writing for a range of audiences. Centering people and communities who have been most impacted by systemic injustice, Lokyee brings life to complex issues to make an impact on our collective quest for a more just world. From racial to gender to environmental justice, she has experience strategizing for progressive organizations and causes from concept to implementation.

  • Charlee Conway

    OPERATIONS MANAGER AND GRAPHIC DESIGNER

    Charlee Conway (she/her) is an operations and design professional with a passion for helping small businesses and startups excel. She received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Psychology from Washington State University and quickly discovered her desire for marketing and operational management of fitness studios and gyms. From her work experience in the fitness industry, she decided to break off on her own and start her design and operations consulting company, Conway & Co., in 2014. She has worked as a director of operations and designer for over 10 years for a broad range of clients and industries, including construction, real estate, financial tech, fitness, financial planning, nutrition, and general consulting. Through her work she is able to provide guidance and support to new business owners through procedures, systems, and branding. The perfect combination of organization and creativity.

    Morgan D. Dewey (she/her/hers) harnesses her strategic communications expertise to advance dialogues and shape a more equitable world. Beginning her career as an organizer and direct service provider, she took her experience to the national level to work in Washington, D.C. utilizing both traditional and digital communications to advance advocacy across progressive causes.

    Lending her voice to outlets such as CBS News, Huffington Post, Mother Jones, NowThis News, and more, she uses accessible communications to dismantle oppressive systems and advance equity.

  • Hannah Finnie

    WRITER AND CAMPAIGN STRATEGIST

    Hannah Finnie (she/her) is a writer and campaign strategist. She’s worked in a variety of communications and campaign roles with progressive non-profits, including the Center for American Progress, the National Women’s Law Center, and MoveOn. Hannah has written pieces for The Atlantic, CNN, Ms. Magazine, and more, and has ghostwritten pieces for outlets like Vogue, CNN, NBC, NewsWeek, and as part of a New York Times bestselling non-fiction book.

    Hannah also has a deep-seated interest in workers’ rights: she previously served as the union president at the Center for American Progress, unionized the National Women’s Law Center, and currently writes on the issue for OnLabor. She received her B.A. in political science and mathematics from Emory University and is currently a student at Harvard Law School.

  • Dana Freedenfeld

    Dana (she/they) is a highly accomplished public affairs strategist with extensive experience in public policy, advocacy, and strategic communications. With a passion for driving change and creating impact for underserved communities, Dana has leveraged their diverse skillset to create innovative solutions and drive results in electoral and legislative campaigns in Oregon. She uses her skills in coalition building, political strategy, strategic communications, and policy analysis to advise her clients on effective strategies to address complex policy problems and bring about positive social outcomes.

    Dana has worked on numerous legislative, electoral, and issue-based campaigns in her capacity as Executive Director of FuturePAC and as Outreach Director for the Oregon House Majority Office. Dana believes in the power of collective action and coalition building and prioritizes developing evidence-based solutions to address complex societal problems. Dana is passionate about supporting her clients so they can focus on delivering tangible positive outcomes for their organization.

  • Kayla Henderson-Wood

    Kayla Henderson-Wood is an independent communications consultant and a freelance multimedia journalist. Kayla has been published in Oregon Magazine, Portland Weekly, Eugene Weekly and more. Kayla graduated from the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communications and is pursuing a master's degree in journalism at the University of California, Berkeley. Read more. Kayla’s work has also focused on the houseless community through her work at a transitional housing facility for at-risk homeless youth in Portland, OR called New Avenues for Youth. As a bilingual resident advocate, speaking both English and Spanish, Kayla has been able to provide support to youth from Oregon, Honduras, the Congo and Mexico.

    Donovan Scribes

    Donovan Scribes (fka Donovan M. Smith) is an communications consultant, award-winning writer, artist and speaker based in Portland. He has written for a number of publications including The Oregonian, Skanner and iHeartRadio where he served as a co-writer on the 10-part top 100 iTunes podcast “Uprising: a Guide from Portland” detailing the history behind the 100+ days of protest in Portland in 2020. His “Gentrification is WEIRD!” platform has been used to steer important dialogue about Black history and futures in Oregon, policing, and reimagining George Park in St Johns and eventually secured $4 million in private-public funding for its development. He has served on a number of boards and committees including the Multnomah County Charter Review Committee (2021-2022), charged with revising the county’s local constitution, and as 2nd Vice President of the Portland NAACP (2021-2022) where he led work on housing, police and environmental policies and programs.

    As a communications professional he has helped lead strategy that helped reduce Oregon's first-in-the-nation rent cap policy and led efforts to shape the narrative around the state's pioneering drug decriminalization law Measure 110.

    A fourth generation Portlander, Scribes is committed to civic engagement, uplifting stories from the margins, and creatively shaping futures.

    A graduate of Oregon Episcopal School, he also attended the HBCU Fisk University in Nashville, TN.

    Sarah Wexler (she/her/hers) is an independent communications consultant. She is best known for voice-driven content, nonstop idea generation, and never missing a deadline. She spent 2020 as the Director of Strategic Communications for Oregon Governor Kate Brown. She’s a big-picture strategic communications thinker with experience writing for executives, political leaders, international brands, nonprofits, and national media.
